Sharon Broughton – CEO

Sharon joined PCC as CEO in April 2018. Previously, she was President and CEO of Kids Help Phone (2009-17), where she led significant growth and development in supporting youth mental health and well-being. Sharon is a thought leader on non-profit leadership, most recently as an Instructor and Content Development Team member for the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.

Prior to 2009, Sharon was CEO of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (Ontario), Executive Director of Crossroads International, and Director of Organizational Development at the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Sharon is bilingual, holds a Masters of Education in Adult Education from OISE/UT with a focus on workplace learning and change, is a fellow of the Community Shift program at Ivey School of Business, and a graduate of the “Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management” program at Harvard Business School. Sharon also brings deep experience as a Board member and advisory volunteer across a range of organizations in the sector. Sharon is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and was named as a Finalist in the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards.
