Duchy Originals Products in Canada
November 22nd, 2012
Duchy Originals products embody HRH The Prince of Wales’s commitment to what he calls a ‘virtuous circle’ of providing natural, high-quality organic and premium products, while helping to protect and sustain the countryside and wildlife. This in turn helps generate profits for his charities.
The proceeds of all Duchy products sold in Canada benefit the Canadian charitable work of the Prince of Wales. More than $1 million is raised annually in this way for distribution to charitable causes both in Canada and around the world.
The Duchy Originals line was launched in 1990 but its story goes back to the early 1980s when The Prince moved to the Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire, and began the process of converting the Duchy Home Farm, which is part of the estate, to an entirely organic agricultural system.
Duchy Originals were founded on the belief that every product they sell “is good, does good and tastes good”. This ethos is set out in their Good Food Charter that underpins the work that they do.
Duchy Originals are distributed in Canada by Dovetale Collections and can be found at many fine stores including:
